  • Government School closure 04.01.2021

    Mon 04 Jan 2021

    Dear all,

We have just learned that schools are to be closed immediately.

From tomorrow, please only send your child to school if they are classed as vulnerable of if a member of the household is a critical worker (see this link to check).

We will be receiving more guidance in the coming days and will communicate with you as swiftly as we possibly can.

Home learning will be available from the CHILDREN tab above. There will be an initial provision of home learning made available. We aim to have more detailed remote learning for all ready by Wednesday.

You will be sent a survey regarding key worker places - please fill this in as soon as possible. We will only be open for vulnerable pupils and for children of critical key workers who cannot find alternative childcare arrangements. Please only make use of this on days that are necessary.

There will be further communication to all parents over the next few days so please keep an eye out for MyEd messages, emails and website updates.

Many thanks for your ongoing support

  • MP Virtual Visit to Lady Seaward's

    Thu 05 Nov 2020

Virtual visit from Simon Jupp, MP

Lady Seawards School welcomed a local MP, Simon Jupp, for a ‘virtual’ visit on Wednesday 4th November.

Mr Jupp was treated to a virtual ‘Q and A’ with the children in years 2-6, due to the Covid-19 rules, and spoke directly to many members of the school community, who quizzed him about his role within parliament and his thoughts on dealing with the current problems faced in the local community and beyond.

The children really enjoyed their preparation for the visit. The classes held discussions about the role of parliament and learnt about the importance of asking questions to find out more information, promote change and create improvement both in the local community and nationally.

  • EYFS New Outside Play Area

    Mon 17 Aug 2020

    EYFS Outdoor Play Area

We are extremely pleased to share photos of our newly installed outdoor play area which will be accessed by our KS1 pupils from the commencement of the 2020 academic year. As a school we identified this area as an area for development after recently adding a modernised Year 6 classroom onsite.

We have received incredible support from our school PTA who have worked extremely hard to fundraise on behalf of the school for the completion of this project.  Grants from both the district council and parish council were also greatly received to bolster this community appeal.

With the addition of the fantastic new climbing apparatus, all weather surfacing and range of different play equipment, our continuous provision will be further enriched and provide a great source of engagement and stimulation for the children. The newly installed equipment will promote active play all year round and support the development of our children’s social, motor and core skills (agility/ balance & co-ordination) along with encouraging the key aspects of team building and communication and learning through play which is so vital to all children’s ongoing education.
