P.E Statement of Intent
Our P.E curriculum seeks to develop key physical techniques, skills and strategies associated with sports, gymnastics and dance. We endeavour to harness each child’s potential, towards reaching an individual sense of success. This will be achieved by encouraging reflection, analysis and evaluation enabling them to refine and improve their physical performances as they move through the school. A further key intention is that all children learn how to cooperate and collaborate with others as part of an effective team. All children will understand the importance of demonstrating fairness and respect for all during play, which will remain with them as core values. By encouraging all pupils to share an initial enjoyment and enthusiasm for Physical Education within primary Education, we hope that we can create a firm foundation of how they can lead a healthy lifestyle. It is hoped that this support them to facilitate their own health and fitness as they move through their lives.
