Week 8 (01.03.2021)

Good Morning everyone and I hope you have had a lovely weekend - wasn't it warm and sunny this weekend?  I hope you managed to make the most of the lovely weather.

This week is our last week of remote learning - so, whether you are learning at school or at home, or even a bit of both, this will be the last week of timetables and links and listening to other teachers and fitting all the different zooms in! Mrs Hough and I cannot wait to have you all back in the classroom.

Speaking of Zooms, I will see the home learners on Monday morning for our catch up Zoom, but because of all the other lovely things we have going on as a school, that will be my only one with you this week.

This week is a little bit different! We have St David's Day, Ethos Week and World Book Day so look carefully at the timetable.  As always, if there isn't a link within the timetable, you will find the details here on the Home Learning page.

Enjoy all the activities we have planned for you and see you very soon!!

St David's Day

Go to the BBC TEACH information and learn what you can about St David.  Then tell me:

Who was St David?

Of where is he the Patron Saint?

Why is this?

Then give me any other information you find out!

With any other time you have left, pick from the activities below.

Ethos Week Activities:

This week we are celebrating the term 'achieve' through a number of exciting activities!

Please follow the achieve plan where you will find a number of tasks to work through during the afternoon across the week.

You will study a book called 'The Dot' by Peter Reynolds and study the famous artist George Seurat. By the end of the week, you will be creating or have created a lovely piece of art that you will bring into school next week.

We shall put these pieces of art together to create one big masterpiece and celebrate how even though we've been apart, we've been together in spirit and can achieve big things when we collaborate together.

If you have any questions or queries about the afternoon tasks, please don't hesitate to contact your class teacher through the class email address.

If you need a printed copy of the art templates, you will find these on the school gate in a poly pocket. Please only make this journey if it is essential due to the current lockdown restrictions.

I really hope you enjoy the activities and I can't wait to see your finished pieces of art.

Mrs Winstanley.
