Daily phonics - Your child should work at their own level using these sheets and PowerPoints to read and blend the words over the week. Please read a number of them each day and if your child finds even the phase 5 level easy they could then write these words into sentences. Please note that phase 5 is for year 1 children but if your child finds it hard please try the phase 3 level.

Then pick an alien from the sheet below and draw her/ him into your exercise books. Can you label them using great descriptive words and then write super sentences using them? If you are feeling really ready to work, can you pick another or all the aliens to label and write about?

Numeracy/ Mathematics. The reception children (and any year 1 children wanting extra) are learning about doubling. Please watch the episode of Numberblocks and then do the doubling art activities. Year 1 children are working on counting in 10s to 100. There is a powerpoint and sheet to complete. Have fun!
