This week I have used a unit of work from the Hamilton Trust again; I like these planned schemes as, through the context of a text or two, they cover spelling, punctuation and grammar and elements of reading comprehension.  This mimics what we do in class.

This week year 2's are going to be looking at TIME. So, grown ups, please ask them whenever possible (using an analogue clock. not a digital one!) what the time is. It is a year 2 objective to be able to tell the time to the quarter hour.

Year 3, you are going to be working on your 4 and 8 times tables, looking at known facts and the inverse, as well as the multiples of 4 and 8.  These are mathematical terms you have been using all year as well as in year 2.
