Middlemoor Fire Service visit Lady Seaward's

The children across Lady Seaward's  had an amazing time today when the Middlemoor fire service crew came to visit us.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank Wayne, Greg, Peter and all the firefighters who spent the morning  with the school to talk about fire safety.   The fire service taught our children that in a fire they should 'Get Out, Get the Fire Brigade Out and Stay Out'.  They talked about the importance of smoke alarms and testing them regularly.  The children also learnt about keeping low in a smokey room and feeling the door for heat.  If the door feels hot don't open it but escape through a window by shouting Fire!  The fire brigade would like to remind all parents to check for escape routes, check fire alarms and have their door keys by doors to escape easily.  Thank you once more to the Middlemoor Fire Service for their visit and most importantly for the amazing jobs that they do!
