Reception: 

Phonics: See how many of these words you can write. They all need 4 lines as they have 4 sounds in them. lamp  dust  sent  went  frog  

Then see if you can use some of these words to write a short sentence. 

English: Read the story supertato and write what you like and don't like about it and draw a picture to show me your favourite character. Can you add labels for your character?? 

Maths: Using the symbols < > and = see if you can compare numbers. We have looked at this yesterday in our maths lesson. Make your own number cards to 10 and then choose 2 numbers. Record these numbers and then decide which symbol you need < > = . Remember the open side goes towards the bigger number number. 

PE: Friday afternoon is our PE session. Have a go at an active activity at home: Joe Wicks workout, boogie beebies, go noodle, just dance! Challenge yourself to do 100 star jumps, how long does this take you? 

Year 1: 

Phonics: using the oo sound. Play phonics play game. Google phonics play and then choose treasure game, phase 3 and you will find the oo sound. 

Then see if you can use some of these words to write sentences. 

English: Read the story supertato and write a book review. What do you like/don't like? Why? Favourite character? Would you recommend the book? Why? Then draw a new front cover for it! 

Maths: How many ways can you work out to make the number 9? Can you show these to me in number sentences and part part whole models. Remember to think about putting 9 first too e.g. 8 + 1 = 9 and 9 = 8 + 1
